Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant, Full-Time, Permanent, Ipswich, £25,000 Per Annum

My client is a leading property investor who is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its team in Ipswich. This role will function to assist the operations team with all accounting needs.

Main duties will include:

• Processing and uploading all invoices to the property management software Yardi
• Chasing any outstanding invoices
• Raising monthly rents
• Running and analyse financial reports
• Producing and issue contractor and supplier remittances
• Processing all daily rents received
• Conducting bank reconciliations
• Processing refunds
• Identifying and allocating unrecognised payments
• Producing weekly arrears reports and circulating to the operations team
• Processing all payments to contractors and any other suppliers
• Processing all deposit payments within agreed SLA's
• Handling any accounts queries and accounts payable calls
• Processing all operations team expenses
• Providing ad hoc cover for other areas of the business if required

The ideal candidate must have:

• A solid knowledge of current lettings regulations and legislative acts
• Competent with lettings and property management processes
• Familiar with the end to end accounts payable process
• A strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Previous accounts payable experience essential (at least three years' experience of working in a similar position)
• Property background or similar would be preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Minimum of five GSCE's grades A-C including Mathematics and English
• AAT qualified or working towards
