Working within Business Support Services, this large institution based near Canary Wharf is looking for an Intranet Communications Coordinator on a full time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Intranet Content Manager the role will deal with internal communications and will;

Support the effective delivery of information and corporate communications to Staff through a range of internal communication channels.

Develop your understanding and awareness of the internal communication needs of the firm.

Enable you to maintain a policy for appropriate content creation and communication.

Expect you to assist departments with the creation and maintenance of internal information content.

Ask you to assist with the development of the Intranet system.

To work to increase employees engaging with the intranet through focus groups and by encouraging employees to share information and knowledge in the form of news articles and SharePoint pages via the Intranet system.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Intranet Content Manager to plan and deliver effective internal communication and employee engagement plans.

• Edit and proof read user generated news content, to ensure compliance with the firm's intranet publishing guidelines.

 Generate news content and ideas for internal storylines/campaigns.

 Manage and create content for the internal screensaver software.

Produce and delivers the weekly firm Round-Up email in a timely manner.

Work with key stakeholders across the firm to ensure the intranet is clear and audience focused.

Support the redevelopment and improvement of the intranet as necessary to ensure content is being delivered in the most effective way.

 Supports the Intranet Content Manager in delivering the firm's Internal Communication Strategy.

 Play a key part in the intranet scrum team, supporting the development of the intranet system.

 Performs administrative SharePoint tasks to ensure content is appropriately accessed and presented.

 Sources images to support written content, taking into consideration relevant legislation for use.

 Monitors guidance for news story publishing.

 Assists with the creation and monitoring of analytics for existing content.

 Assists with decluttering of content as required.

 Supports the Library Services Manager by producing the Daily News Update once per week.

Ideal qualifications and skills

• Information or communication based qualification 

• Experience of working with SharePoint 2016 

• Experience of working with Office 365 desirable 

• Excellent spelling and grammar

• High level of oral and written communication skills

• Strong editing and proof reading skills

• Experience of contributing to and supporting with the development of internal communications strategies
