Part time HRD/HRBP 3 days a week – flexible

Rare opportunity for competent HR professional with gravitas and strong commercial skills to take on this part time Board Director level role. You will work with the Exco on developing and delivering a cutting edge and robust HR strategy across the company. You will be responsible for the evolution of the HR Function to deliver retention and employee engagement, identify and secure key talent into the business and manage the HR infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Own the recruitment process end to end, sourcing, contracting with and managing suppliers, drafting job descriptions, identifying the most appropriate and cost effective way of securing talent.
Work with senior managers to resource plan, map talent and adjust the organisation structure in a legally compliant and culturally appropriate manner.
Manage all aspects of HR Operations: oversee payroll, ensure the HRIS is kept up to date, oversee benefits administration, keep templates, policies and processes under review
Line manage the Office Manager in respect of general office issues and tasks relating to people/HR.
Directly manage any employee relations issues and find commercial and culturally appropriate solutions.
Work with the senior management to ensure that learning and development needs are met.
Take responsibility for the benchmarking of salaries and the management of review processes.
Own internal employee communication and engagement activity.
Take responsibility for the production of meaningful MI as needed by senior management.
Be the HR interface with the US based parent Company.
Experience
Previously have held a role in which advice and guidance has been provided, an acted upon, by a management team.
Be able to demonstrate both knowledge of and ability to implement what is needed from a people perspective.
Be able to demonstrate ability to stand-a-lone as an HR SME and deliver technically correct and commercial advice to a management team on core people issues and wider areas such as GDPR, IR35, compliance etc.
Be able to demonstrate experience in running recruitment exercises end to end.
Be experienced in managing moderately complex employee relations issues.
Be able to review, draft and amend necessary employee paperwork – contracts, correspondence, policies etc.
Be able to oversee payroll
You should be
Strong Excel user.
Familiar with HRIS.
Confident, articulate communicator – able to defend proposals and justify ideas for change with requisite data.
Be able to translate HR technical issues into language / level of risk non-HR people will understand
Be able to solve problems where limited guidance/solutions exist
Be able to deal with ambiguity and a fast-changing environment
This role is a stand-a-lone role from a technical perspective and you will need to demonstrate both a depth of experience and pragmatism in responding to challenges. You will be happy working at both strategic and granular levels.
