I am currently recruiting for a Contact Centre Personnel to join the new head office for a Heating & Energy company. I am seeking an experienced individual who has impeccable customer service skills. Please apply if you hold the following requirements and skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role is for someone with impeccable customer service skills. Offering a brilliant working culture where you will be working in brand new offices in Vauxhall overlooking the river!
You will be responsible for answering the phones and delivering a fantastic service to the customer. You will be expected to operate in a team environment and will be expected to work in a collaborative way with colleagues. You will ideally have experience in a contact centre environment, have brilliant phone skills and able to use your initiative. Experience with energy efficiency, grants or dealing is desirable but not essential.
Typical duties include:
To be successful, you will have experience in a similar role, be an efficient problem solver and be a great team player!
Essential requirements:
This role will pay up to £12 per hour, in addition to holiday pay. This position is to start ASAP and is a temporary to permanent placement or as an on-going temporary position.

Typical duties include:
- To ensure that all the customer data that is required, in order to progress a Grant Claim, has been taken via a phone call / web form / email – including Referral Source etc. and entered on to karma.
- From this information, to advise customers of their eligibility for a grant (subject to DWP check / LA Flex Criteria), the potential grant amount and any customer contribution required.
- To book a Technical Survey for the customer if they wish to proceed
- To log follow up contact to liaise further with the customer if they require “time to think”, need to check with their Landlord etc.
- To refer to the Contact Centre Manager if any queries arise which you are unable to answer
- To log all calls / emails / web forms whether resulting in Grant Eligibility or not.
- Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile
- Meet personal / team qualitative and quantitative targets
- Ensure GDPR Compliance throughout
- To identify vulnerable customers and process their data accordingly
- To identify customers who should be in receipt of benefits that aren’t and liaise with our Grant and Benefits Co-Ordinator
To be successful, you will have experience in a similar role, be an efficient problem solver and be a great team player!
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer support role
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
- Enjoyment working under pressure and in stressful situations
