Our client, a well-known professional services organisation is looking for a talented Web Developer to join their friendly, fun and creative team. You will be working within a busy in-house design team responding to daily tasks, engaging with the client, actively encouraging new ideas, software and solutions and will help inspire innovative creative services offered to the client.

 

Working within a friendly, professional team of talented Developers, Designers, Motion Graphics Designers and a Film and Photography team, you will be innovative with a creative focus and will be driven to produce high-quality deliverables and solutions within the client brand guidelines. You will have capabilities to both support the Web Designers and Developers in the production of digital solutions for the web and mobile devices, working collaboratively with the other members of the Web Development team and the Project Managers.

 

Creativity and innovation are encouraged within the team, therefore, you must be forward-thinking with the ability to adapt and develop new ideas. The team are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from event and campaign material to website designs and digital animation – so you must be adaptable and eager to get involved in new projects.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrating client-focused attitude with good people skills, negotiating and presenting ideas in an easy to understand way
  • Interpreting briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best technical and design solution within the remit of the team
  • Educating and influencing clients to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within timeframes
  • Negotiating deadlines and cost estimates for campaigns
  • Managing multiple tasks and projects and prioritising accordingly
  • Following standards and digital guidelines for branded materials

 

Person Specification

Essential:

  • 3+ years of experience in JavaScript, jQuery, SASS and AngularJS (version1) is a must
  • Significant experience for developing responsive web sites
  • Good knowledge of using API’s, RESTful Web Services
  • Detail orientated approach – develop and test across a variety of browsers, platform and devices
  • Experience with the Adobe CC suite – Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience with Version control (GIT, SVN, BitBucket)
  • Working knowledge of issue and project tracking software (Jira / Asana)
  • Some experience of CSS methodologies and pre-processors (SASS, BEM, etc)
  • Keen and eager to learn and develop new skills to support the growth of the team
  • An active interest in new industry trends, emerging technologies and innovation
  • A pro-active, resilient, communicative, collaborative, organised approach
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail with excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise an often-conflicting workload

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a Creative Studio environment
  • HTML5 Canvas and SVG animation
  • Good understanding of UI/UX Design – with wireframing and prototyping tools
  • Interest in Data visualisation
  • Unit or Functional testing
  • Working in SharePoint architecture.
