Are you a Fundraising/Development Manager looking for a new challenge? Would you like to help children flourish in to exceptional, well-rounded members of society. You would? Well you are not going to believe this but if you apply to this actual job... wish could be granted!!
My client (a school) are looking for that special person to undertake the following responsibilities:
● In conjunction with the leadership team, implement a fundraising strategy that will include trust,
corporate, and individual giving
● Devise and coordinate effective gift acknowledgement and donor stewardship
● Ensure that accurate records are kept of fundraising operations and donations, in line with the Data
Protection Act
● Prospect research and approach planning
● Presenting to appropriate management, governor and trustee meetings as and when required
● Seek out new partnerships with third party organisations to offer new experiences for students
● Lead on organizing fundraising events that engage the Academy and local community
● Develop and manage a local business partnership programme
● Design all fundraising materials and maintain a folder on google drive for all materials
● Increase income from grant making bodies by writing compelling bids
● Ensure that donor reports meet requirements and contracts, and that they are of a high standard and
submitted on time
● Establish a range of new income streams, with a particular emphasis on the application of digital
technology e. the use of Crowdfunding, as the basis for establishing a more diverse range of
income
You will need to be happy with having a DBS check carried out on you, should you be successful in the role. The following professional skills and experience are also needed:
1. Possess appropriate qualifications and / or experience in a similar role.
2. Be ICT literate and be able to operate software effectively to support your role. (Windows and MAC
an advantage).
3. Have experience of school data and fundraising systems (Experience of SIMS would be an
advantage but training will be given).
4. Possess the ability to time manage and prioritise effectively in a busy office and school environment.
5. Be able to deal discreetly with confidential information.
6. Show evidence of continued professional development.
7. Presentation and data analysis experience
8. Possess GDPR awareness and its impact on your role
