Assistant Company Secretary

Our client, a global media organisation currently has a new opening for an Assistant Company Secretary to come on board and play a key part in the company’s compliance and governance requirements.

The role is very busy, working to tight deadlines and can be high pressured. You will need to be adaptable, on the ball and super organised.

You will have previous PLC experience and EU subsidiaries (acquisition and disposal)

Your key duties will consist of:

  • Preparing various reports for Board Meetings.
  • Supporting the Company Secretary with various committees, taking minutes and drafting.
  • Handling the company’s insurance and annual review.
  • Managing relationships with the Company Registrars, shares, dividend payments.
  • Maintaining all records for share option schemes.
  • Liaising with Trustees.
  • Completing HMRC returns.
  • Liaising with Trade Mark Agents.
  • Drafting reports for Annual Report & Accounts.
  • Assisting with Compliance, GDPR. H&S, Anti-Bribery etc.
  • Arranging and organising the company AGM.
  • Handling oversees matters.
  • Maintaining all databases and filing.
  • Drafting documents and agreements.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will be degree educated or equivalent.
  • ICSA qualification would be an advantage.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Experience of working within a global organisation.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Dicreet and able to handle highly confidential information.
  • Able to keep calm and work to tight deadlines.
  • Able to build relationships professionally at all levels.
  • Previous relevant experience.
