Part Time Executive Assistant - Charity

£35K - £40K as a full time equivalent

This a unique and superb opportunity to join a high-profile charity on a part-time basis in this newly created Executive Assistant role.

Supporting the Chairman, Deputy Chair and Company Secretary, approximately 2 days a week (and on average 10 days a month) this position will focus on providing support at Board level. The EA role will require a high degree of organisational skills, superb attention to detail, a solutions driven and proactive approach combined with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities for this Executive Assistant role will range from but not limited to:

  • Manage all email correspondence relating to the Board
  • Coordinate, attend and take minutes for the Chairman's/Deputy Chair meetings and to follow up on action points from meetings
  • Coordinate reports and documentation for Board and Committee meetings
  • Preparing high quality briefing materials and presentations
  • Provide administrative support to the Chairman/Deputy Chair in implementing organisational projects and programmes
  • Act as first point of contact on enquiries from Trustees or Committee members
  • Occasional travel as appropriate to attend Board meetings

Experience of providing EA support to a senior Management Team and Board level is essential for this role. The ability to produce minutes of meetings, drafting and editing written documents and correspondence independently is also essential as is a high degree of IT skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively and confidently at all levels. Additionally the proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion is a must!

Previous experience of working in the charity sector with an understanding of the role of the Charity Trustee is desirable.

Kindly note this Executive Assistant role will require working on average 10 days a month / 2 days a week, and occasionally 3 days week during times of Board and Committee meetings. There will also be very occasional travel, some of which may be international in order to fulfil the responsibilities with the role.

Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of £35K - £40K as a full time equivalent.
