Contract Accountant – Leading Tech Co!

Our client is a fast moving, ambitious Tech Co with big ambitions and a phenomenal reputation for excellence and a unique, dynamic  culture.  Our client is looking for someone who can come in and make an instant impact to the Finance department.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will play a key role in the accountancy department.  Duties will include, but  are not limited to - preparing VAT returns/ submissions using Workday, including EC sales lists, managing payments/repayments, working with finance team to improve month end process to ensure it is adequate for VAT purposes, implementation of appropriate controls and systems for reverse charge/domestic reverse charge, ensuring invoices and expenses are being correctly coded for VAT and HMRC online management. 

You are a qualified accountant with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills as well as fabulous interpersonal skills and a flexible and adaptable approach. You are passionate about supporting others and ensuring that processes and systems run smoothly. You love working within a finance department and have a good understanding of Reverse Charge VAT and European experience from previous roles.  You have ‘can do’ attitude and are able to communicate with all levels of the business.

You are adaptable and self-starter with strong knowledge of IT systems.
