Marketing Assistant
Key role: Providing support and assistance to the Marketing Director
Reporting to: Marketing Director
The role requires an enthusiastic all-rounder who is confident in supporting and assisting with end-to-end marketing projects and events. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, successful and fun firm which has a strong reputation in its chosen markets. This role is ideal for someone who is happy to work in a busy environment with the responsibility for implementing marketing projects under supervision. The marketing assistant will work closely with the marketing director and support the firm and the team with its rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will demonstrate skills and strengths in the following core areas:
• Good organisation skills using project management tools to organise events (webinars, workshops, seminars, annual parties)
• Ability to update the company website with news and blogs
• Good social media management skills
• Preparation of regular email campaigns, analysing results and providing suggestions for improvement (Mailchimp)
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of events including all associated documentation
• Management of CRM and associated databases
• Compilation and distribution of monthly newsletter
• Liaison with external suppliers – telemarketing, web design and PR
• Supporting the team with marketing collateral including emails, factsheets, content, design and presentation packs
• Liaison with marketing teams at international partner organisations
• Coordinating directory submissions
• Copywriting/proof reading and editing
• Analysis and ROI after events
• Providing other ad hoc support with any other tasks which may arise e.g. managing materials for exhibitions
Other skills required
• A proven problem-solver with a good eye for detail
• Proactive, energetic, enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ nature
• Clear and concise when communicating with suppliers and colleagues, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent proof reading, formatting and editing skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
Previous experience:
• A minimum of 1 year in a marketing role. Experience of working in a small, entrepreneurial firm especially welcome.
This is an office based role – hours are 9.00 to 5.30 Monday to Friday.
