Learning and development business partner – perm or contract

£55,000 or £300 a day

You will

  • Support the Head of L&D to provide a comprehensive and effective L&D and OD partnering proposition embracing all of the functional responsibilities.
  • Design and deliver a range of OD interventions which supports organisation design effectiveness, high levels of employee engagement and well being, encourages a diverse and inclusive environment and embeds change
  • Designs and deliver training, learning and development which ensures that all colleagues have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for their current role and to support long term career progression
  • Ensure that all  interventions are balanced and support and  maintaining  culture, driving growth, managing cost/income ratio, being regulatory compliant and delivering the ‘Goal’

On a day to day basis your duties will include:

  • Support the Head of L&D in the design and delivery of an effective OD and L&D Strategy, architecture and proposition and training and competence scheme
  • Partner with a range of  colleagues including Group HR, Regional HR Teams, Embedded T&D SME’s Product Owners, Process owners, Content owners and  colleagues etc to understand OD/L&D needs, then plan, design and deliver a cohesive L&D proposition through consistent and blended solutions
  • Develop strong relationships across the bank and influence key stakeholders to adopt and implement   L&D and Training architecture and challenge inappropriate behaviours and processes and provide advice, guidance ensure compliance and consistency of content, delivery methods and use of the LMS
  • Provide consultancy and project management to a range of learning, OD and talent interventions within  functional responsibility including scoping, planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery/implementation and evaluation
  • Manage a mixed portfolio of OD, Training and Learning Interventions / support the wider  team / embedded T&D specialists and content owners in the review, design, delivery, evaluation of learning and training material. Initiate engaging and blended ways of meeting the training needs   
  • Develop career pathways for all job families that develop colleagues in their current roles and prepares them for progression.  This includes developing new approaches that support career progression and succession planning whilst aiding retention etc
  • Support effective role design by ensuring that appropriately levelled competencies and technical/professional knowledge and skill requirements are identified for each role. Ensure that appropriate training and development is identified for each role to support post holders to develop and maintain competence from recruitment, induction and throughout their career
  • Utilise the apprenticeship levy and CareerPLUS to support career progression and professional development wherever possible by influencing stakeholders to utilise the funds thereby enhancing  learning offer
  • Undertake effective Research to identify best practice to inform content and delivery
  • Evaluate the impact of Training and Learning and collate reports
  • Provide one to one coaching , one to many workshop facilitation and classroom based training delivery and ‘train the trainer’ as and when required for a range of requirements
  • Review and manage existing partnerships with third parties, and build new partnerships as relevant opportunities are identified. Ensure robust procurement is in place when working with external providers to deliver best value in terms of cost, quality, effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with the Digital Learning Manager to ensure that the LMS is fully utilised to support career progression and effective reporting of L&D and analysis of appropriate MI as required
  • Work closely with colleagues in Change and Communications to support the change agenda and inform response to the annual employee survey and enhancing employee health & well being. 

 

Candidates must a strong Learning and development experience gained within a Financial services environment. You should have the confidence to work in a business partnering model adding value and enabling shared learning opportunities with your colleagues. You will need excellent written and spoken communication skills and should be able to relate to individuals at differing levels within the organisation.  You should be a graduate with professional qualifications or be keen to gain your professional qualifications.
