Based in lovely offices a short walk from Holborn station, a highly regarded and growing Professional Services firm are looking for an experienced and engaging HR Officer to join their close knit HR Team and provide a valuable generalist HR service.

You will be joining a fun, high performing HR team who work collaboratively and your role will be to partner with your designated client group across two sites including weekly site visits to the second office to ensure a visible and high touch service with your client group.

You will be supported by an HR Assistant whilst reporting into the HR Manager and you will additionally have the benefit of a dedicated payroll team member meaning you can really focus on meaningful engagement with your stakeholders.


Duties include: 

  • Coaching line managers on all ER matters including probation extensions, performance management, attendance issues or more serious disciplinary or grievance cases
  • Take minutes at high level or sensitive HR meetings and ensure that all documentation and next steps are handled effectively  
  • Conduct high quality and engaging first day inductions
  • Review and improve the induction process   
  • Coordinate professional qualifications for your client group with support from the HR Assistant
  • Mange the soft skills training programme  
  • Ensure all L&D needs are fit for purpose and progress is monitored, particularly for any issues with professional qualifications
  • Oversee the joiner and leaver process
  • Conduct informative exit interviews and  communicate key messages to management
  • To update your workflows on the HR system 
  • Work with the payroll team to ensure accurate
  • Work with the HR manager to coordinate the annual salary review process ensuring accurate benchmarking along with timely decisions and c9ommunicaitons   
  • Be first contact for all general HR queries including maternity ad paternity requests
  • Produce regular HRMI and report on key statistics  

 

 

The Person:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and CIPD (or part) qualified (or equivalent).
  • Existing experience gained within a professional services environment
  • Solid operational HR experience ie recruitment, employee relations, performance management, reward and a broad knowledge of employment law
  • Demonstrates excellent organisation skills and credibility with client group
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with staff and partners.
  • Responds to requests in a timely manner. Manages expectations and builds trust and respect in staff and partners.
