This exciting new full-time permanent role is based within a friendly professional services organisation who take care of some of the most prestigious well-known corporate UK and international organisations. They are based in beautiful offices in the bustling West End and are looking for a new Bid Writer who will support the business to ensure growth and renewal targets are met. They are offering an excellent salary of £42-45,000 per annum plus excellent company bonuses and benefits.

As the Bid Writer, you will bring process experience, creativity, commercial awareness and influencing skills to provide a consultative internal and external client service. You will prepare compelling, persuasive and compliant bids for a variety of new tenders and projects across various corporate organisations. Working closely with the business development and client services teams, you will be involved in creating high-standard client-facing documentation and presentations in relation to the bid process.

You will need to possess a strong background of complex bids, including coordination of company resources - ensuring bid responses are delivered on time and are high quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing technical writing skills - displaying creative flair in tender submissions
  • Planning the bid process – ensuring a high standard of client materials and collateral
  • Supporting and guiding other writers to prepare written documents and presentations
  • Reviewing successful and unsuccessful submissions, gathering feedback to promote continuous improvement
  • Working collaboratively with marketing to keep up to date with proposition, competitors, brand etc.  

Person Specification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editorial expertise
  • Strong planning, bid management and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence to liaise effectively with all levels of management, both internally and with clients/prospects. Able to build and maintain relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working experience of using InDesign, Visio and Adobe Suites.
