Owen Reed are recruiting for a Central Records Administrator to work for a top London law firm.

The Central Records Administrator will work within the Central Records department being responsible for the cataloguing, safe storage, retrieval, retention scheduling and secure destruction or permanent withdrawal of all matter related documentation generated within the London office, both copy documents and original material. Working to a high degree of accuracy and quality in an often pressurised and time sensitive environment.

Role and responsibilities
Maintain a high level of service, striving to meet our client's expectations at all times.
Liaising with clients regarding their requests, updating on progress, managing deadlines or seeking clarification as necessary
Have a good working knowledge of all departmental equipment, stocks and products to enable effective prioritisation of work and to be able to advise clients of valid alternatives when necessary.
Ensure all requests are completed to a high standard in a timely manner, following instructions and utilising all available facilities.
Using workflow management software to undertake client requests, booking work in and out, liaising with other departments and external suppliers as necessary.
Meet specified deadlines by prioritising own workload at all times, liaising directly with clients, the Bridge and other members of the team and Practice Support as necessary.
Ensure that relevant quality control measures are undertaken and that all work is checked accordingly before being signed off placing an emphasis on quality of product and accuracy.
Undertake thorough handover with oncoming operators as necessary, ensuring that all relevant information is available for them to perform their role as required.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of departmental objectives and work with team members and management to ensure their achievement
Communicate with Supervisor and Coordinator, reporting any problems regarding Job requests, equipment and stock levels as appropriate.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on all department equipment such as the shrink wrapper and binding machines eg refills, charging etc.
Be flexible in undertaking these duties and any other duties as required by the Manager, Coordinator or
Supervisor.
