Legal PA - Shake Off The Junior Title!
Performing above expectation but not getting the recognition? Not managed to achieve the promotion you feel you deserve? This role could be perfect for you! My client, a leading law firm in Central London, are currently seeking a Legal PA to join their Litigation department on a permanent basis. This role would be perfect for any Junior Legal PA seeking a step up into a full Legal PA position, where you can achieve the promotion, salary and recognition you deserve.
The Role:
This is a Legal PA position working for an allocation of 5, ranging from Senior Associate down to Trainee level, within the Litigation department. These Fee Earners work on Commercial Litigation cases, but they do not require the Legal PA to have prior experience in this area, as long as they have worked for another reputable law practice. This role will be a mixture of both secretarial and PA duties. Duties include:
- Manage diaries, ensuring they are up to date and reminding fee earners of meetings and appointments on a daily basis.
- Arrange meetings, book conference rooms, order refreshments, check rooms prior to meetings and liaise with other attendees, both internal and external.
- Coordinate travel arrangements in the UK and internationally, book and confirm reservations and deal with related details/papers/itineraries.
- Arrange photocopying, printing, sending out correspondence on behalf of Fee Earners.
- Open and close files, supervise general filing, e-filing, scanning requirements and record keeping.
- Support Fee Earners in marketing activities including involvement in preparation of pitches and presentations.
- Preparation of court or transaction documents and engrossments. For example, preparation of court bundles etc.
- Coordinate correspondence, attachments, documents, reports, presentations, before they are passed to the relevant fee earner for approval/sign off and undertake amendments where appropriate.
Requirements:
- At least 18 months experience gained as a Junior Legal PA / Legal PA within another reputable law firm.
- Professional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organisational and team skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Confident in taking the initiative.
- Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic.
