A wonderful opportunity for a Researcher to work in a very well established search firm in Mayfair!

This is a support role, providing researchers with essential administrative and research assistance on search assignments and other projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Research support

In consultation with the researcher and delivery team, provide support in:

  • Identification and mapping of industries, organisations and contacts
  • Researching profiles and contact details
  • Salary surveys and benchmarking projects
  • Placement of advertisements online and preparation of microsites/candidate briefs and managing responses and enquiries
  • Management of process of speculative candidates: acknowledging approach; assessing suitability for database; adding and updating; arranging preliminary meeting for key contacts
  1. Business development support

In consultation with the researchers, provide support in:

  • Pitch packs and background information packs for client meetings, proposals, pitches and general business development activity
  • Knowledge management: act as custodian of business information and ensure key information is shared with teams and the business
  • Business development and event management projects for sector teams 
  1. Systems support

Provide timely and accurate support through:

  • Adding and updating organisation and people records
  • Support in the adding of research to the assignment data
  • Proactively maintaining quality of information, including management of duplicates and coding records
  • Support in training new users

Quantitative activities include: accuracy and relevance of research, quality of record-keeping, pace and meeting deadlines.

Qualitative focus is on the outcomes of activities, including:  team and Researcher feedback, quality, quantity and creativity of research, independent working and self-sufficiency.

Requirements for this role:

  • Experienced  within a professional office environment would be desirable but graduate entry is acceptable
  • Passion and total commitment to thorough, creative and effective research and knowledge using different sources, techniques and skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to produce well-constructed, well-presented and accurate written documentation
  • Computer-literate, with strong ability in utilising in-house databases and systems, online processes, research tools and social media
  • Excellent organisational skills, and able to prioritise work and successfully manage multiple projects and requests and deliver timely results
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong team skills - ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently and self-sufficiently, pro-active approach with willingness and keenness to learn and support others
