Step Up to Legal PA – Commercial Litigation - £33-£35,000

Are you a driven, confident legal secretary with 2-3 years’ experience in a commercial law firm? Looking for a step up to work for a dynamic partner and busy team?

Our client is an award-winning, growing mid-sized law firm with a fantastic atmosphere and team feel. Due to an internal change, they are looking for a new legal PA to join their team in a busy role for a charming and dynamic partner and two associates.

Because of success they’ve had before in giving less experienced legal secretaries a chance to show what they’re capable of in a true meritocracy.  

His work is a mixture of litigation on behalf of private and commercial clients and he needs a legal secretary with excellent skills who really understands litigation so can be left to deal with Court bundles and typing up of litigation forms and documentation with minimal supervision.

Although there is, obviously, typing in the role this is much more a legal PA role than a traditional legal secretarial, so it’s important you’re able to juggle a busy and varied workload, are familiar with looking after your boss’ billing, travel, diary etc.

What they are looking for is at least 2 years’ experience as a litigation legal secretary, ideally commercial litigation, excellent skills (65wpm typing, advanced Word) and the desire to be a real asset to a busy team. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their legal secretarial qualification, ideally CILEx level 3.

The role is permanent but vacant immediately, so they are happy to consider temp-to-perm candidates, but are equally content to wait for the right person to work out their one months’ notice.
