Tiger Private is pleased to be recruiting for a lovely client of ours who have a London based family charitable foundation. They are recruiting for a dynamic, strategic and personable Grants officer to join their team. The foundation makes grants mostly in the UK and Israel with a focus on preventative health, the UK Jewish community, the local Brighton community and social cohesive initiatives in Israel, amongst other things.
This position is located within a large, modern, inclusive company office in Camden and sits with another member of the grant giving team.

What you’ll do:
- Managing and monitoring the current foundation grants through review of applications, reports, site visits and communication
- Researching and engaging new potential grantees in the UK and beyond
- Supporting board members in understanding issues areas and engaging with new and existing grantees and other stakeholders
- Preparing grants requests to be discussed at trustee meetings, presenting grant requests to the board and making recommendations
- Working with and maintaining the Foundation database and record-keeping systems to ensure consistency of institutional knowledge
- Researching individuals and organisations of interest to the Foundation
- Overseeing the corporate grants programme, including guiding employees in the process of grant giving supported by the foundation
About you:
We are looking for applicants with the following skills:
- Proven experience of working with philanthropic grant making organisations and/or the charity sector
- Experience of working at a high level with a broad range of responsibilities including liaison with internal and external stakeholders and senior management, trustees and high level donors
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A team player – having the ability to work with as a key member of a small team (based in the UK and Israel), with a friendly and professional manner
- Numerate and confident working accurately with figures, experiencing reading and analysing charity accounts
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and grant management databases
- Analytical and research skills
- Empathy, flexibility and strong organisational skills
