Legal Secretary - Litigation

A Legal Secretary /Assistant is required to join one of the UK's most successful London Law Firms due to expansion. This role sits within their Litigation department. The Legal Secretary role will include;
Key Responsibilities
* Diary management - arranging meetings, conference calls, lunches etc.
* Organise travel (including flights, accommodation and restaurants) and providing the fee earners with detailed itineraries.
* Open files for new clients, create credit report and create terms of business and client engagement letter.
* Ensure both electronic and paper based filing up to date for the Property Litigation fee earners. To file documents and correspondence in date order; maintaining files in good order.
* General administration support as required by FE(s) such as expense claims and cheque requisitions.
* Assist clients on the phone (where applicable) and take messages and pass to relevant FE(s) when absent or busy.
* Produce long, accurate complex house-style documents, manuscript amends, audio dictation and document comparisons.
* Work as part of the team and assist other secretaries during busy times and to provide cover for absent colleagues and whilst they are on holiday.
* Take ownership of enquiries, resolving or escalating (or identifying alternative contacts) as appropriate.
* Ad hoc typing duties, proof reading and any general administrative support as required.
* Carrying out Land Registry and Companies House searches.
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills, regularly act on own initiative, highlighting issues and suggesting possible solutions.
In order to be considered for this role, you will ideally be a legal assistant, legal secretary or legal administrator looking for the next step up and a new challenge.
