Store Manager for a fitness company

This role requires key management skills and an approachable manner. This will be a brilliant role for someone who is seeking a great working environment and for the next step in their career.

My client is looking for a result driven retail store manager with strong people-management skills; these skills are needed to be responsible for the overall store management. The ability to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales targets/goals and manage staff effectively will be required for this role.

Typical duties include:
  • Develop store business strategies to increase our customer pool, expand store traffic and optimise profitability.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase store sales and market share.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths for store staff.
  • Deal with any issues that arise, from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc).
  • Set high standards of professional behaviour and performance; serve as a strong example for store staff to learn from.
  • Work closely with and build strong working relationships with the senior management team.
Requirements:
  • Proven successful experience as a store manager.
  • Strong experience of people management in a retail environment.
  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  • Strong customer service and customer-relations management skills.
  • Strong employee relations experience.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Managing store P&L. 
  • Managing store business strategy and implementation.
  • Humble and polite.
  • Skilled in use of Excel.
