Money & Pensions Service- Fixed Term Contract


This is an exciting time to join an arm's length organisation that has been created to bring together the three services delivered by the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. MaPS' vision is 'Everyone making the most of their money and pensions'

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has also assumed responsibility for overseeing the delivery of the pensions dashboard, a revolutionary new digital tool that will allow people to see all of their pensions in one place. In order to do this MaPS is setting up a new organisation, the Pensions Dashboard Industry Delivery Group (IDG). The IDG will bring the pensions industry together to create the dashboard.

The IDG are seeking a Business Support Manager/Personal Assistant to support the senior management team and aid with wider duties around the office. You will be working closely with the incoming Principal and their leadership team, managing diaries and providing business support. You will provide a strong secretariat function, organising and scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, providing research and briefings for attendees, and taking minutes and action points.

Additionally, you will manage business travel arrangements, including transportation, and accommodation for the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff members. A flexible approach is required as there will be wider duties, such as covering reception and answering phones when necessary.

What You Need to Succeed

You must be highly organised, have a positive communications style and be a strong team player. You will have experience as an Executive Assistant to Directors and/or senior managers. You will have extensive diary management skills as you will be managing the diaries and schedules of the Pensions Dashboard Industry Delivery Group SMT. A proven track record of excellent scheduling, planning and time management is essential. You must be self-motivated, pro-active and use your initiative to deliver first-class secretariat support to the incoming Principal and SMT. Ideally you will also have some knowledge of the financial and Public-Sector landscape.
