Leading US law firm is looking to recruit a new paralegal to join their growing Financial Services Group where you will get exposure to a number of areas of law and transactions.  This is a fantastic position where the firm really utilise and respect their paralegals.  Duties will include be asked to prepare letters in response to auditors’ requests for information, assist attorneys in all aspects of private fund offerings, including federal and state securities filings, organise, index, file and maintain documents and other materials in various media formats, proofread prospectuses, board minutes, forms and other documents, assist with miscellaneous projects assigned by FSG attorneys and/or practice group manager, perform any and all other duties as necessary for efficient functioning of the Department, Office and Firm and practice and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.  Applicants need to have a law degree, LPC preferable with at least 12 months paralegal experience ideally from a City/US law firm however if you are bright with fantastic education/grades then please apply as this firm like to hire Trainee quality paralegals.  Candidates having general legal corporate skills including experience with corporate formation, dissolution, board resolutions and board minutes with a familiarity of mutual funds is an added bonus.  Skills required are having the ability to work independently and perform research, the ability to work productively and cooperatively with other employees and have excellent written and verbal communication skills including proofreading.  Standard  hours are 9:30 to 5:30 with lots of available paid overtime.
