A prestigious US Law Firm in the City is looking to hire a new Team Leader/Supervisor to manage the Attorney Support Team in London on an initial 12 Month FTC.  The Attorney Support Team is made up of Administrative Assistants, who are responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Legal Secretaries and occasionally Trainee Lawyers and Junior Associates in London.  Within this role you will be taking ownership of the development of this team and the trainee secretaries.  Duties will include organising, assigning and delegating the work coming into the team to ensure objectives are met in a timely manner, responsible for hiring and training new team members, communicate performance issues to the Secretarial Manager and will also be involved in the team’s performance reviews.  Other duties will include managing attorney’s needs as requested, answering the phone, taking messages, responding to emails, ensuring team tracking of all service requests, providing reports to management regarding requests made, working with the Secretarial Manager to identify training needs, ensure appropriate coverage for absence and assisting with any projects.  Candidates need to have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Legal PA and must have Team Leader/Coordination experience.  Candidates must have strong leadership/mentoring skills where you can influence, motivate and develop the trainee secretaries to their full potential, have knowledge of workflow coordination, be well organised and excellent communication skills.  The standard hours are 9:30 – 17:30.  Previous experience of working with, hiring and developing trainee secretaries would be hugely beneficial.
