The candidate will complement its small but focused team and should have excellent event management skills with 2-3 years event management experience within the financial services sector.

The role will include (but not exclusively):

  • Management of event project plans ensuring deadlines are met
  • Negotiations and venue /supplier engagement
  • Creation of budget and management, ensuring events prove financially viable
  • Production of event marketing materials including direct mailings, email communications, social media communications, online and in-print advertisements and the management and development of the event websites
  • Coordination of committee meetings with local market experts to formulate the event agendas and speaker selection
  • Organisation of Delegates and Speakers
  • Management of overall event registration process
  • Development of sponsor, exhibitor and media partnership packages and handling sponsor and exhibitor contract negotiations
  • Promotion and sale of exhibitor / sponsor packages as well as delegate passes to existing and prospective members
  • Creation of all on the day materials including the event delegate guide, signage, delegate badges
  • Manage and ensure successful on the day event execution
  • Collation of post-event feedback and the preparation of post event reports
  • Update the (Salesforce) CRM with events related information/contacts
  • Additional administration and event related tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and nature to work within a dynamic, high-profile environment, often working on own initiative to deliver against targets and time-driven objectives
  • Strong team player – flexible and adaptable, willing to pitch in all tasks as necessary
  • Experience in planning and operating medium - large scale events (100+ attendees)
  • Aptitude at effectively communicating with senior level people leading group discussions during agenda setting meetings
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise
  • Experience in sponsorship sales
  • Proficient at using social networking tools for marketing purposes

Technical Skills

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Experience of using the following systems would be beneficial: Salesforce (CRM), Eventbrite, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey

A University Degree is desirable (B.A., B.Sc.)
