Private Chef UHNW Family 

The Family: Fairly informal, kind British / English family who keep their staff for many years. 2 children 

Location: Family home in Belgravia and large country Estate in Surrey – the family go to the Estate most weekends and tend to entertain there.

Hours: Wednesday to Friday in London Belgravia residence then Saturday – Sunday in Surrey Estate with Monday – Tuesday off (this may vary eg: when family away during school holidays). Late morning start, to prep for lunch the family usually have dinner at 6.30pm so the Chef would leave then.

At The country Estate accommodation will be provided over the weekend. Some flexibility will be required.

Role outline:

• Preparing lunches and dinners for family,
• Cooking for dinner guests 1 / 2 times per month, also for events parties  (occasional)
• Cooking for up to 5 people when all children at home. In London generally 2 adults and 1 child who likes simple food 1 child comes  back from school to the country at weekends.
• Driving required in the country, The Chef will also be responsible for all food shopping/ sourcing, stocking the kitchen. Working with the Principals for menu ideas

Food style

• Cooking, tasty healthy menus top level but family style cooking
• The family have a varied taste so international cuisine, Mediterranean, Lebanese, Indian, health fish / fresh produce. The do like to have a traditional Roast dinner / lunch at the country on weekends
• Generally, the like a buffet style prepared for them and they serve themselves
• During events, dinners when they entertain (1-2 times per month approx) a more a la carte, refined menu would be needed for guests, so more formal style
• If they have a large party or event, extra staff would be brought in to help for service and prep
• There is a vegetable garden at the country estate which is somewhat overgrown, but the Chef could work with the gardeners to nurture and develop this if they desired

Personality

A warm, personable top-level Chef with discretion and respect. The family are informal and approachable and generous, very good with their staff. Lovely team of staff who have been with them for many years.
