A prestigious US Law Firm based in the heart of the City is looking to hire a new Senior Learning & Development Coordinator to join the London office on a permanent basis to take the lead on al training for London and one of the international offices.  Responsibilities will include developing training curriculum for Trainee Solicitors, oversee training session content, working with the coordinator on logistics, attendance and feedback on speakers, working with the Office of General Counsel on suitable programming and compliance training to ensure compliance of SRA regulations and suitable CPD requirements can be met for all Lawyers’ annual multiple bar renewals, liaising with practice groups to plan and organise internal training programmes, working with the coordinator to monitor logistics, attendance and feedback on providers, acting as main point of contact for Lawyers considering external training courses, ensuring they have the correct approval to attend, liaising with training providers to keep up to date on relevant courses for our trainees and practice areas, taking ownership of trainee reviews and development follow ups via supervisors feedback, assisting the Director with review meetings set ups occurring every three months and ongoing tracking, assisting the Director with Trainee rotation logistics and notifications, acting as main point of contact for mandatory Professional Skills Courses and equivalent programming content post SQE, working with the coordinator to organise and monitor attendance as required by the SRA.  Other duties include processing SRA registrations and admissions of trainee solicitors for the London programme, working with the Director to take a proactive ownership of attending updates and liaison with US firm focused forums for a suitable outcome for the firm in managing its transition to the SQE regime and assisting with international focused lawyer development projects and academies as required.  Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years L&D experience within  a law firm, either CIPD qualified or degree educated and must have excellent written, communication, technical and organisational skills.
