My client, an established Membership Body based in the heart of the City, are looking for an Events and Public Affairs officer who has experience of managing events from inception to completion and a good knowledge of business and politics and creating insights and briefings (public, private or third sector).
The Role
Review, enhance and manage the Events program with the aim of raising our profile, enhancing member and non-member engagement and increasing revenue
Work with the Marketing & Communications Director to define and implement the Events and Public Affairs strategies
Oversee events ensuring cross-departmental coordination and exceptional delivery
Promote and manage events relating to national profile raising and support regional, research and product event delivery
Develop the Public Affairs program to demonstrate the relevance and importance of customer service to the UK economy, and establish the authoritative voice on public policy issues related to service
Work with The Public Affairs agency to develop insight, policy positioning, and briefings on key policy issues
Develop relationships with key influencers within regulators and government
Provide support to the CEO, including identifying and securing appropriate speaking opportunities at appropriate external events, briefings and presentations, and help set up and provide briefings for meetings with key influencers and stakeholders
The Person
Educated to Degree level
At least 5 years’ experience of events management and event marketing
A good knowledge of business and politics and creating insights and briefings (public, private or third sector)
Thorough knowledge of events management and event marketing
