Events Executive

A historic and well-recognised organisation specialising in the health and medical sector is looking for a full time Events Executive to join them on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for a number of conferences and programmes yearly, attracting delegates from across the healthcare, voluntary and statutory sectors.

Who will you be working for?

Our client is an independent organisation and is one of the largest providers of continuing medical education in the UK. They provide accredited courses for continuing professional development, which is so vital in allowing doctors, dentists, veterinary surgeons and other healthcare professionals their continuing freedom to practise. Excellent central location in the West End of London.

What will you be doing?

This is a key role where you will be responsible running all aspects of designated events, usually meetings, courses and conferences organised in conjunction with external partners. The level of involvement with each event will differ based on the clients' requirements. You will be attending planning group meetings, briefings with clients, prepare proposals and organise show arounds when requested. You will be involved in all aspects of events management such as organising guest speakers, catering arrangements, and dealing with enquiries, registering sponsors, budget planning, marketing etc. This is a role that will allow you to take a high level of ownership for the sections assigned to you.

About you

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate substantial experience of working within events management, in particular researching and developing conference content to create strong programmes. Ideally degree level qualified (or equivalent) in events management, you should have experience in creating and executing effective marketing campaigns, budget planning and project management skills. This is a role that requires a great level of efficiency, strong track record in planning and running large scale events to professionals. Flexible hours of working including evening and weekend work may sometimes be required, however not often. Good knowledge of the UK health and social care sector would be a bonus.

What's in it for you?

In return, our long-standing client will offer an attractive salary and benefits which include flexible working hours, free staff lunch, discounted gym membership rate, individual learning and development opportunities, occupational health support and more.

This role is paying a salary of £24,814.
