Rapidly expanding and award winning US law firm has created a new role as EMEA Graduate Recruitment Manager to be based in the London office, reporting in to the Director of Legal Recruitment (also based in London) on a permanent basis.  The Graduate Recruitment Manager will manage the end-to-end recruitment of trainee solicitors, or equivalent to all the EMEA offices. This role will be responsible for implementing the strategy for each graduate recruitment cycle, ensuring the quality of the firm’s graduate talent pipeline and building on the firm’s brand to further their position as an employer of choice in the graduate market.  Main duties will include both recruitment and development, recruitment responsibilities include liaising with the graduate recruitment partners, practice group leaders and the Director of Legal Recruitment, EMEA to set strategic targets for graduate recruitment in line with the Global Talent Team’s objectives, working with internal marketing teams to devise and deliver an effective overall marketing campaign for the EMEA offices in line with overall Firm branding strategy, managing the screening process for all recruitment cycles, including the bi-annual process for the London vacation schemes, designing and running interviewing and assessment days for all candidates, working with Regional Office Managers to deliver these where needed, planning and delivering cyclical work experience and vacation scheme programmes, managing the online applicant tracking system, providing regular metrics on the graduate recruitment processes to firm management as required, liaising with future joiners and providing Legal Practice Course (LPC) elective advice as required and working with the Firm’s Global Director of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) to ensure the ongoing implementation of best in class diversity and inclusion initiatives.  On the development side you will be tasked with working closely with the internal Professional Development team and external training providers (including the Firm’s LPC provider) to facilitate all training requirements pre-employment and during the training contract, coordinating training and ensuring it is compliant with the relevant regulating body e.g. SRA regulations and requirements, devising and overseeing the co-ordination of the trainee induction programme and four-monthly seat rotation, ensuring trainees receive regular feedback throughout their training contract via the firm’s appraisal process, attending meetings as appropriate, working with the graduate recruitment partners and practice group leaders to establish business needs for the seat rotation and qualification process, communicating decisions regarding seat moves and qualification to the trainees and managing the annual compensation review process for all trainee and intern programmes, working with the Global Compensation team, Director of Legal Recruitment, EMEA HR team and Practice Group Managers.  Applicants need at least 5 years relevant legal graduate recruitment experience; understanding the process from start to finish, have attended law fairs and ran the whole process, be degree educated (relevant professional qualifications desirable but not essential) and being multi-lingual would be beneficial.  Additionally, having the ability to communicate openly, clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, being pro-active, professional manner, personable and approachable, having a strong attention to detail, high levels of accuracy and excellent organisational skills are essential.  Offices are based in the City with standard hours 9:30 – 17:30.
