Are you looking for a new challenge is a faced paced and exciting company? We are looking for a highly-driven and dynamic Credit Controller to join the Finance team. This role is critical to the development of the company. The successful Credit Controller will have a background in financial data and credit control and will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with clients but also to have an extensive background and training in numbers. Day-to-day activities will vary but will include data analytics, market and credit risk assessment, creditor management, debt recovery management and invoice reconciliations. As the Credit Controller, the successful candidate will also be a key figure in supporting the financial function.
The role will involve elements of financial accounting and statistical analysis, as well as the development of internal control policies. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work directly with the CFO on statistical and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Credit Controller include, but will not be limited to:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Assisting in preparation of budgets for each division
- Presentation of financial data and information in a variety of formats in response to business requests
- Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
- Evaluating new credit requests
- Negotiating payment, repayment plans and managing legal processes
- Responding to relevant client enquiries
- Raising, processing and reconciling invoices
- Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant financial information, as required
- Assisting in re-engineering the billing process
- Developing and improving financial and KPI reporting across the business
- Supporting month-end and year-end close process
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls within credit control

The ideal candidate will have:
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Outstanding numeric and mathematical ability
- Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Ability to clearly explain complex statistics and technical details to senior stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Propensity for accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and maintain a high-level of organisation
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues
- Professional, confident and diplomatic disposition when liaising with others
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes
