Tiger Private has taken on a fabulous brand new position for a qualified Bookkeeper to join a business/ family office for a high profile family, to manage the bookkeeping of their personal finances, alongside a small number of companies established for use by them.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Bookkeeper, you will report to the part-time Finance Director, with a dotted line to the Financial Controller, and be responsible for the day-to-day book-keeping and administrative family office requirements.
This will be a broad role requiring a hands-on individual, comfortable handling the transactional accounting, whilst also liaising with professional advisors, and dealing with domestic staff and management issues. You will be the key provider of accounting support to the family, but you will also benefit from the supervision and backup support provided by the FD /FC, and of the wider business team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

This is a unique opportunity in a niche area. The successful individual needs to be comfortable wearing many hats, and responding promptly and professionally to requests for support from the family and other stakeholders. Further still, the chosen candidate will be emotionally intelligent, discreet, conscientious and proactive.
You will most likely be in a financial accounting or tax role at present, working with high net worth clients, ideally within a family office setting.

Accounting
- Book-keeping for the family and one or two company entities (Xero Software)
- Processing of purchase invoices and supplier liaison
- Setting up cash payments for approval by FC/FD
- Cash planning and forecasting
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Supporting preparation of statutory accounts
- VAT returns
- Income tax and Corporation Tax returns
- Month end management accounts preparation and review
- Maintaining ledgers, passwords, secure files etc
- Monitoring of trademark registrations and renewals
- Oversight of insurance policies (contents, liability, travel, etc)
- Asset monitoring (artworks, wine, vehicles, fixed assets)
Domestic
- Support for the housekeeper with finance and administrative matters
- Opening, scanning, management and filing of post
- Payroll, pension and expense claim management for domestic staff
- Dealing with suppliers for IT, maintenance, utilities, vehicle fleets, communications etc, including contract renewals, payments, reconciliations
- Commercial support for the evaluation of current and future licensing and sponsorship deals
- Ad-hoc analysis and support to the senior management team, as required
- Ad-hoc support for the FC / FD in finance, accounting and family office matters.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a least 2 years post qualification experience
- Operates to the highest professional standards, with integrity and discretion
- Client focused– dedicated to serving and supporting the client / owner
- Solid hands-on general ledger experience is essential - experience with Xero desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
