Our client, a renowned arts organisation, requires a Development Administrator to start as soon as possible. This is an ongoing temporary role lasting for at least two months and is paying £12 P/H plus holiday pay. You must be available immediately.

Main duties of the Development Administrator are:

  • Responsible for paper and electronic filing and office administration
  • Manage and track any incoming donations
  • Setting up and maintaining necessary office systems and keeping them up to date
  • Liaising directing with various teams and helping to support their procedures
  • Assist with preparing mailing lists and event guest lists
  • Manage any catalogue orders, including logging invoices with the Accounts department
  • Arranging meetings, both internal and external, including booking meeting rooms, updating agendas, managing conference calls, taking minutes and distributing the minutes
  • Log any donor information on their in-house database, including contact information
  • First point of contact for all general telephone and email enquiries
  • Making any travel arrangements for the team
  • Looking after the team budget and processing expenses
  • Coordinate a monthly progress report and produce a fortnightly update

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an administrative or supporting role and enjoys being in a fast-paced office. Good experience of working with budgets and processing invoices and expenses is also an essential skill. You must have excellent organisation and planning skills and will also have great attention to detail and accuracy. You need to be able to demonstrate your ability to set up and maintain administration systems. Working calmly under pressure and also the ability to work both on your own and as part of a team is also essential. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be computer literate, including previous experience with databases.

The ideal candidate will have an awareness of the arts and charity sector and knowledge of Raiser's Edge is desirable.
