Part Time PA/Research Assistant to Professor

Immediate Start - Part Time (Tues to Thurs) PA to Professor - 6 Months Ongoing - University - Central London

This University is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health.

Your new role

You will provide high level PA support to a Professor in a London University. Maintaining electronic filing as well as diary management to avoid clashes, plus manage annual leave shared calendar for a team. Meeting and travel arrangements where necessary. You will be the first point of contact for visitors/callers for the Professor. Responsible for daily office management (maintain stationery supplies, report any housekeeping issues to Estates promptly). You will be writing correspondence (emails/letters). You will be typing manuscripts and scientific papers on behalf of the Professor. You will be responsible for monitoring of non-grant budget and expenditure. Update, track and monitor publications, ensuring they are supplied to national and overseas bodies where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be most recently working in an academic background as a PA or dealing with medical research. You must be capable of quickly learning new information and systems. You must have high levels of attention to detail and accuracy as you will be responsible for typing manuscripts and scientific papers. Good computer skills (Word, Excel - able to create Macros, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn specialised areas such as for online document submissions would be advantageous.
