An international high-tech commercial bank requires a high performing Events & Sponsorship Manager to plan, manage and execute on the UK's Events and Sponsorships strategy in line with the bank's global marketing strategy.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in planning and creating the overall Events & Sponsorship strategy, delivering and managing the overall programme, as well as one team member.

The EMEA events and sponsorship programme is a crucial pillar of the bank's marketing strategy through which they add value to clients and prospects and distinguish their presence in the market.

The role requires strong project and financial management skills, a commercial focus and the ability to execute to an exceptionally high standard in a very fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Events and Sponsorships

  • Developing, implementing, managing, and overseeing the overall EMEA Events & Sponsorship strategy
  • Conceptualising and managing unique and engaging events for clients and prospects
  • Consistently seeking new ways of discovering fresh insight and ideas for Events and Sponsorships
  • Integrating core thought leadership into overall Events and Sponsorship programme
  • Overseeing key events across Germany and Israel providing support and guidance where required
  • Leading and overseeing core Advisory Groups across the business
  • Managing all external agencies including but not limited to: design, production, catering and venue hire
  • Development and maintenance of event tools like planning and briefing documents, production running sheets and event agendas
  • Delivering monthly and quarterly updates on Events and Sponsorship programme to senior stakeholders
  • Continually building knowledge of external industry events and sponsorships to provide valuable internal insights
  • Regularly seeking ways to improve marketing automation by implementing methods, procedures and platforms to increase efficiency and scale
  • Day to day management and development of one team member

Budget, Measurement and ROI

  • Assuming responsibility for evaluating and reporting on ROI for all Events & Sponsorship activity and providing monthly reports to Head of Marketing and other key stakeholders
  • Being accountable for, and having oversight of the overall Marketing & Events budget

Partnership Management

  • Establishing, nurturing and maintaining partner and sponsorship relationships across the EMEA region
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with internal team heads through regular monthly update meetings

Skills and Experience

  • A dynamic, strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and implementing an integrated Events and Sponsorship programme
  • Understanding of B2B or professional services marketing (versus consumer brands)
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent event management and communication skills
  • Fast learner
  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of humour and positive attitude
  • Project management and organisational skills
  • Individual needs to be results-oriented and able to actively engage in their projects and collaborate with key stakeholders
