My client is recruiting for a bright, passionate and driven Private Client Assistant to join their West London office. My client is a prestigious advisory firm that operates on behalf of a HNW Private Family. The Private Client Assistant is responsible for assisting the Client Advisor in delivering high-quality services to private clients in relation to all core services provided by the Family Office.

As a Private Client Assistant, you will:

Independently handle individual client requests and defined tasks allocated within the Client Advisory team – mainly in the areas of wealth management, estate planning and personal advice, such as (subject to any applicable regulatory restrictions):

  • Investment transactions;
  • Client/customer due diligence;
  • Investment risk profiles and legal compliance;
  • Gift process and execution;
  • Cash monitoring and planning.

Have overall day to day responsibility for the review, monitoring and processing of internal and external transfers/payment requests for UK family members;

  • Carry out research and prepare initial drafts of advice for client advisors (as required);

Support the Client Advisor with:

  • Planning and arranging client meetings;
  • Monitor and coordinate ongoing action points;
  • Schedule, prepare for and attend Family Member Team meetings (actions, input for liquidity planning and transactions);
  • Update key client information in the Family Information System (FIS) and proactively ensure that the data is up to date, complete and subject to the appropriate validation;
  • Support the processes with financial projects and planning as required;
  • Align processes between offices.

Your FIS key user role will be to:

  • Provide training and support for FIS for the relevant office;
  • Update client information to reflect the information obtained from clients;
  • Liaise with clients to address gaps in information;
  • Proactively drive improvements in client data quality;
  • Support with client mailings.

Additional tasks:

  • Act as a back-up for private clients in the event of Client Advisor absence or unavailability.
  • Prepare client materials in a user-friendly, professional format, consistent with our house style.

Experience required

At least 3 years in an Assistant role, preferably from a financial or legal background

Good eye for detail

Able to multi task effectively

Practical/technical skills -A curiosity to develop an understanding of key legal concepts (e.g. those relating to basic estate planning and relevant legal structures, such as trusts, foundations).

Communication and influencing skills -Good interpersonal skills for successful interaction with clients, individuals and groups inside and outside the organisation;
