We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Legal Secretary to contribute to the effectiveness of our Personal Injury team by providing a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to both our clients and lawyers. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standard of service offered to the firm’s existing clients as well as assisting in furthering the professional reputation of the team. Your main duties will be producing documents as directed by the lawyers and fee-earners, dealing accurately and carefully with filing and archiving, managing both diary and travel arrangements, and organising all necessary meetings for the team and clients.

In taking ownership of these duties, we need someone with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in performing their work to a consistently high quality. You must be self-motivated and confident in your working style, able to effectively and efficiently prioritise your work according to urgent requests and also be able to effectively communicate with both colleagues and clients. Previous experience within the Personal Injury practice area is desirable, although not essential, alongside skills such as audio typing and minute-taking.

Key tasks:

  • Arrange documents in an efficient and convenient manner for storage and future reference
  • Arrange managers' travel schedule, such as booking flight and train tickets, hotel stays, and trip itineraries
  • Organise, arrange and make changes to managers’ meetings with both internal and external contacts
  • Work with Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Type up a copy of dictated material, meeting contributions, or other spoken material, often in real time
  • Manage interactions with the firm's clients, provide the needed support and redirect queries to the right individual or department
