This is a great opportunity for someone who has had previous experience within Customer Service and the Wine industry.

The Customer Service Executive role is for a luxury FMCG market-leading wine importer and distributor based in Islington. You will be assisting with answering the day to day queries and questions from customers, processing orders and recommending products.

Client Details

Based in Islington the client is a luxury FMCG market-leading award-winning wine supplier to multiple channels within the wine trade.


The key duties and responsibilities for the role of Customer Service Executive include but are not limited to;

  • You will be responsible for UK and Export orders from our warehouse as well as Ex-cellar (direct) orders.
  • Process all Sales Orders and Credit Notes in a timely manner and within the order deadline.
  • Work closely with warehouses and transport to ensure all orders are picked correctly and delivered on time.
  • Maintaining a low level of unresolved orders/queries and escalations to the CSM;
  • Work closely with customers and account managers - addressing delays, shortages, breakages, returns and customer complaints.
  • Advising customers of delivery dates and liaising with warehouse when deliveries are overdue. Ensuring attention is given to any special-order instructions including customer reserves and delivery instructions.
  • Packing and processing samples from office to UK and International destinations;
  • Provide Exceptional customer service and support to the Sales Team, ensuring Key Account relationships are developed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.


The successful candidate for the role of Customer Service Executive will have/be the following;

  • It is essential that the candidate has a minimum of 6 months experience within the wine industry;
  • Previous experience in customer service is desirable but not essential
  • Fluent and accurate spoken and written English is required as the role will need clear communication with customers, account managers and warehouse team;
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Package;
  • Be detail orientated;
  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service;
  • Willingness to learn from others and from own mistakes.
  • Strong team player.
