4 month FTC: Financial Accountant at International Law Firm, up to £50,000

Our prestigious law firm client is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their Finance department on an initial 4 month contract, the key focus of the role is to be responsible for the efficient running of the accounting services. The main responsibilities are the preparation of monthly consolidated accounts, preparation of monthly budget cost variance analysis, management of balance sheet controls and reconciliations, management of controls around journal entries for accruals, prepayments and provisions, preparation of records and files for audit and liaison with auditors, maintenance of fixed asset register and related depreciation schedules and projections, preparation of monthly cost reports for Directors and spend reports for budget holders, preparation of ledger reports for monthly and quarterly VAT returns and EC sales lists, preparation and submission of ONS surveys, reconciliation of inter-office and inter-verein balances, maintenance of Finance schedules/processes and assisting with system enhancements, other accounting, reporting, analysis and reconciliation work as required. Candidates should have a strong accounting background and also have accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
