Job Title: Legal Cashier

Salary: £40,000 + negotiable

Location: Central London

Prestigious American law firm are looking for a legal cashier to support the finance team in all aspects of day to day cashiering and assist with their accounts functions in accordance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Performing month and year end procedures and reconciliations
• Banking of client and office account receipts and updating ledgers
• Preparing bank reconciliations and controlling any reconciling differences arising from those reconciliations
• Bill processing
• Accounts Payable
• Dealing with staff expenses and petty cash
• Maintaining all client account transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and dealing with queries relating to client accounts
• Dealing with Counsel fees
• Assisting with the SAR statutory audit process

It is essential that you have a background as in legal accounts (at least two years) and have a thorough understanding of SRA procedures. You must also have excellent communication skills as there will be extensive liaising with the American offices.
