EA ROLE OVERVIEW
As the global WOW - Women of the World movement enters its next chapter, an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to support The WOW Foundation’s Founder & Director, Jude Kelly. This is a high level secretarial, administrative and project support role in a small, start-up team, for an ambitious and organised individual to ensure the effective management of a varied portfolio.
Predominantly based with and responsible for Director’s work developing TWF, the EA role will also support across the diverse range of projects delivered through Jude Kelly Studios (responsible for work, practice and activity independent of TWF), in addition to executive support for a number of trusteeship and committee roles.
This is a new team. The WOW Foundation was established in May 2018 to lead the development and delivery of WOW - Women of the World festivals and programmes around the globe. WOW is dedicated to building, convening and sustaining a movement of women, girls, men and boys who believe a gender equal world is both desirable and possible. Founded in 2010 at Southbank Centre in London when Jude Kelly was Artistic Director, there have been over 65 WOW festivals in over 30 locations, reaching over 2 million people.
This is a high profile Executive Assistant role, operating within a small team in a busy, fast-moving working environment. The successful candidate will be a confident thinker, highly organised, and have the ability to balance different and competing priorities effectively.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
This role will be working in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to thrive on working to tight deadlines and be comfortable juggling multiple tasks and competing priorities at the same time. You’ll often have to think on your feet and be prepared to troubleshoot issues. To excel in this role, you’ll have strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience as an EA or in a similar role
- Experience of logistically managing meetings including taking minutes
- Experience of prioritising workload and working autonomously

ABOUT JUDE KELLY CBE
Jude is a Director and the Founder of WOW – Women of the World Festival. She was artistic director of the Southbank Centre from 2006-2018- Europe’s largest Arts Institution and London’s 3rd biggest tourist attraction.
Jude founded Solent People's Theatre in 1976, was Artistic Director of the Battersea Arts Centre and was also the founding director of the West Yorkshire Playhouse. She has directed over 100 productions including at the Royal Shakespeare Company, English National Opera, National Theatre, and the Châtalet in Paris. She led the cultural team for the successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic bid and then served on the Board of the cultural Olympiad.
In 2018 Jude was a judge for the Stirling Prize for Architecture and was awarded an Evening Standard Progress 1000 Award.

WOW – Women of the World is a global movement launched by Jude Kelly CBE at Southbank Centre London in 2010, celebrating women and girls and looking at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their potential.
In 2018 Jude stepped down as Artistic Director of the Southbank Centre to focus on WOW and set up The WOW Foundation.
The WOW Foundation creates festivals and events all over the world as a catalyst for change, to celebrate women and girls, take a frank look at what prevents them from achieving their potential, and raise awareness globally of the issues they face - and creating solutions together.
