Looking for something hands on? This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful building by one of the world’s leading architecture firms looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the facilities team

They are a large architecture firm where detail is everything and it is vital as the Facilities Assistant in providing support to the FM team to keep things running smoothly. 

They have an impressive portfolio of projects and a great support team who you will be working with.

As the Facilities Assistant your key duties are:

  • Daily H&S and maintenance walk round, to check for issues, reporting back or tackling in situ
  • Carrying out minor office repairs
  • Assist with staff desk moves and set up and overall studio moves
  • Maintaining heating and cooling throughout the office
  • Assist with operation of ‘rooftop’ and new 3rd floor meeting rooms
  • Set up AV equipment for meetings – troubleshooting where necessary
  • Tackle any printer issues alerted via team mailbox and induct staff
  • Assist with external and internal ‘event’ set up in meeting rooms, such as Friday presentations, Monday Design Reviews, external talks, etc
  • Drive biannual tidy of all storage areas – archiving information where necessary
  • Assist to keep the ‘Model’ inventory and archive up to date, ensuring all models are labelled and photographed
  • Carry out project and non-project archiving, keeping the database up to date at all times
  • Keep FM Team records/filing of how the building/office works, keeping an audit trail at all times
  • Provide back-up to FM team in times of holiday and absence

Key attributes required are excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a motivated and ‘can do’ flexible approach.  You’ll also need to be extremely organised, with the ability to multi-task and work independently with a positive, friendly manner.  Previous experience in an office environment and a good working knowledge of MS Office is also needed.  Think you can deliver?  Send in your CV asap by clicking on apply now.
