A small and innovative scientific publishers is looking for a PA/Office Manager to join their growing team. Based in fantastic offices, as PA/office manager you will be the main point of contact for everyone in the UK office and within the international group.

As PA/office manager, your duties will include the below:

  • Being the main point of contact for the office by answering and directing enquiries within the group
  • Diary management for the CEO to include booking internal and external meetings
  • Providing information management support and representing the CEO when necessary
  • Organising international travel for the CEO and occasionally others, ensuring this is done in the most cost-efficient way
  • Maintaining confidential information
  • Evaluating new digital office tools to ensure efficient work-flows and good communication in the office and office groups
  • Scheduling meetings and conferences for the office group and following up on results where necessary
  • Organising and collating various data and visuals
  • Responsibility for the company´s intranet and in-house newsletter
  • Managing the organisation of lectures to include booking the venue, organising catering and invites
  • Drafting letters and editing documents for the CEO
  • Placing and expediting orders for supplies and all associated filing and management of these
  • Maintaining the procurement of all office supplies
  • Being the main point of contact for the landlord and other suppliers
  • Expenses and management of invoices and POs etc.

Knowledge of finance operations and bookkeeping is a huge bonus. They currently have an accountant but if financial duties can be passed on to this person it would be beneficial but not essential.

The ideal PA/office manager will be someone who loves to organise, has excellent knowledge of MS Office with a flexible, can-do attitude.
