Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a progressive role where you can utilise the full compass of your Accountancy knowledge and further develop as a professional Accountant?
We are looking for a reliable and committed Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established Private Family Office firm based central London. The role requires someone who has a meticulous work ethic and strong attention to detail, who is ambitious to further progress within their Accountancy career.
Some duties:
- Providing support in day-to-day business and office as required
- Posting of purchase invoices and payments to the accounting system
- Preparing the bank reconciliation, updating the cashbook and posting bank payments to accounting system
- Entering payments to online banking system
- Raising sales invoices and posting to the accounting system
- Management of petty cash reporting and credit card statements and postings
- Internal audit duties- checking documentation exists and is complete
- Maintaining Share Investment spreadsheet
- Assisting with month end management accounts
- Arranging and managing the filing system and archiving
- Filing relevant documents as instructed
- Manage office supplies: ordering stationary, couriers, refreshments etc.
- Other ad-hoc administration & accounts duties as required
Who are we looking for:
- Previous Accounts experience, with passion to learn more quickly
- Methodical & meticulous in approach to work, with a keen eye for detail
- Good working knowledge of VAT, accounting basics (including accruals and prepayments) and experience with accounting packages
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Able to work effectively with teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Organized, proven initiative and proactive work ethic
You will ideally be degree educated and working towards ACCA with a minimum of 1 years’ experience within a similar role. Efficiency, communication and IT skills are paramount in this role, as well as being a true team player and self-starter, who is ready to take on the next step in their career. This role also offers study support schemes for those continuing with their Accountancy qualifications.
