Account Manager for IT Service Provider

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum + Gym + Bonus + Beer Fridays!

Do you have experience working within Sales or Account Management and IT Services? Do your strengths lie in maintaining long-term relationships with clients and achieving your goals?

We are urgently seeking a highly committed and dynamic Account Manager with exposure to IT Services to join the team at an IT Managed Services Provider based in Sidcup, Kent. You will responsible for maintaining a pool of dedicated accounts, through achieving sales targets, retaining client accounts and generating new activity with clients. If you are experienced in all areas of Account Management, with an understanding or interest in IT Services, this is the role for you!

Your duties:

  • Winning and securing new business from existing clients
  • Upselling services and products
  • Developing long-term trusted relationships with clients
  • Co-ordination of sales administration, database navigation and quoting
  • Preparing client proposals and report documents
  • Account Managing existing and new clients to ensure all required services are delivered (both face to face and over the phone)
  • Integration with technical departments – being a central point of contact for queries, new business, ongoing contracts, etc.
  • Arranging meetings with clients – preparing presentation and proposals
  • Negotiation of contracts, services and new business
  • Maintaining data integrity on corporate databases in line with the Data Protection Act
  • Keeping up to date with and reporting on industry information – market analysis, industry fluctuations, market conditions and competitor activity

You will be a confident Account Manager, with at least 3 years’ working within an Account Management or Sales role and experience or an understanding of IT Services. Our client is looking for self-starters, who possess the ability to utilise excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to ensure service delivery is always to the highest of standards. You will be familiar with working in a corporate environment within a multi-tasked role, with strong IT skills and an impeccable telephone manner being essential. If you are a true team player, can remain calm and efficient under pressure and enjoy learning new skills, you’ll be able to excel in this role and become an integral part of this team.
