We have a fantastic opportunity for an office coordinator working for a lovely teacher training company, based in north west London. Another main aspect of this role is to manage the venue hire side of the business.

This role is exceedingly diverse and a chance to grow within an extremely friendly team and environment. They are a thriving, initial teacher training centre, working with primary and secondary trainees across over a hundred schools in London.

They are looking for someone who is confident, friendly and approachable and wants to develop essential, transferable skills needed in any workplace. You will have experience working with Microsoft Office and have a keen eye for social media and online presence.

The duties this role will include are outlined below, under their relevant purpose.

Venue hire:

  • Advertising the venue and reviewing efficiency of current providers
  • Interface with clients
  • Manage all bookings and staffing
  • Invoicing clients
  • Manage and update database of bookings

Website/social media:

  • Working in collaboration with Programme Director, Business Manager and Website Manager to maintain and develop website
  • Update social media to advertise and promote events
  • Develop links with Organisation websites and maintain presence of Teaching London

Advertising:

  • Liaise with Organisations regarding promotional materials such as flyers and banners
  • Review content of all advertising materials in collaboration with Programme Director and Business Manager.
  • Attend national and regional "Train to teach" events to promote Teaching London

Course administration:

  • Print registers and monitor attendance and punctuality of trainees
  • Set up Google drive access for all stakeholders
  • Liaise with tutors to ensure rooms and resources are prepared in advance of every session
  • Support Business Manager as required
  • Front of house, welcome and register visitors daily
  • Plan and prepare refreshments in collaboration with Business Manager

Building maintenance:

  • Small scale DIY maintenance
  • Regular checks of building premises, facilities and alarm systems
  • Water plants inside and out
  • Managing outside agencies to carry out work as required
  • Management of cleaners and ordering products
  • Setting up rooms in response to the needs of speakers
  • Fire Marshall (training will be provided)

The hours are 9am-5pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 8am-5pm on Thursdays. You will get 25 days holiday, a great pension plan, private medical cover and flexible working hours during school holidays.
