Our client, a renowned architectural firm, requires an HR Generalist to start ASAP!
The main duties of the HR Generalist are:
- Recruiting will include: coordinates local recruiting efforts including tracking CV's, screening CV's, preliminary interviews and scheduling interviews with appropriate managers
- Prepare appropriate response letters
- Provides HR recruitment statistics on an ongoing basis
- Participation in location job fairs
- New Hire Orientation will include, plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
- Provides "new hire orientation", ensuring new hires are greeting on first day and meet with each department within first week of employment
- Conducting new hire orientation which will involve preparing offer letters and new starter packs and providing information to the HR Department
- Coordinates local staff transfers
- Performance Evaluation/Career Development will include, scheduling local performance evaluation and career development meetings
- Provides HR with copies of all completed performance evaluations forms and Career Development forms
- Coordinates requested mentoring assignments in a timely manner
- Coaches Managers on setting clear performance expectations
- Participates in staff performance evaluation meetings
- Assists with Benefit Coordination, employee terminations and handles employee relations issues
- Coordinates and communicates with management and HR about personnel changes of status including leaves of absence, title changes, transfers, address changes and benefit changes.
- Aids in the training programs at both a local and company level
- Coordinates location training initiatives determined by HR and Managing Director
- Coordinates local immigration issues relating employment visas with HR by ensuring information is gathered and submitted in a timely manner
- Administers the Workers Compensation claims and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of HR
The successful candidate will have substantial Human Resources Generalist experience with a mid-sized professional service organization is preferred and must demonstrate the following capabilities:
- CIPD Qualified
- strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy;
- professional oral and written communication skills and listening skills;
- gather and disseminate information in a timely and effective manner;
- ability to research, compile, analyse and present data;
- handle confidential information in strict confidence and with great sensitivity;
- ability to adapt to changing work priorities and react with appropriate flexibility;
- ability to interact with all levels of employees;
- ability to support the global Corporate HR team;
- strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- must be detail-oriented, organised and have the ability to multi-task; creative and effective problem-solving skills;
- sound judgment;
- ability to work independently and part of a team
