A Customer Service Advisor role for an excellent catering and events company based in Reading.

Your new company
My client is a vibrant catering and events company with a passion for delivering healthy food and high-quality service which drives well-being across the UK.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be providing front line support and customer service to Group suppliers, potential applications and associated environments. As well as this, you will be troubleshooting any queries / problems and advise on the appropriate action or to escalation if required.

The duties of the roles include:

  • To respond to requests for support either in person, via phone or electronically
  • To diagnose and resolve on a 1st time fix a high proportion of queries & requests.
  • To advise procurement user on appropriate action aligned to Group & departmental policy.
  • To formally log all support desk interactions utilising the agreed mechanisms
  • To appropriately administer support desk software & documentation.
  • To escalate issues that can't be fixed 1st-time
  • To identify and escalate situations or queries requiring urgent attention.
  • To track and route problems & requests and document resolutions
  • To prepare activity reports and deliver requested management information and reports.
  • To identify and inform management of recurring problems or queries.
  • To remain up to date and current with processes, policies, systems, data and associated information.
  • To Contribute and support the business in the ongoing development of the purchasing department & it's strategy.
  • To help develop, maintain and communicate a preferred supplier and approved product/service list for all categories.
  • To conduct procurement activity in accordance with procurement and legal policies.
  • To maintains an effective communication structure detailing stakeholder and supplier contacts


What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and a track record of developing and maintaining stakeholder and supplier relationships.

They're looking for someone who has worked in a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives and in a highly competitive market sector, working within the head office constantly changing industry would be ideal.

As well as this, you will need to be competent in Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables) and have some experience within the food industry or an understanding of dealing with food.
