A newly created role to review to improve the structure and leadership of a population of c Business Support staff/PAs globally (majority based in London and New York).
Client Details
A global, complex, fast moving organisation.
This role as responsibility for teams in Asia, New York and London, but will be based in London. Given the geography, there will likely be the need for some travel.
This role is responsible for c employees in total, but you would have a structure with c direct reports.
Description
Reviewing the current structure and proposing a strategy to help improve efficiency and quality of the roles within the support function (business support and PAs)
Understanding business needs and identifying areas of potential improvement
Implementing better training and development opportunities for the support population. Acting as the interface between the support teams and senior management.
Working closely with HR to ensure appraisals/personal development plans are relevant and effective
Liaising with the key stakeholders and identifying key areas for improvement
Building a strong relationship with the support team to facilitate improvements/change
Profile
An experienced leader, familiar specifically with managing the PA/business support population.
Experience of managing on a global basis/having remote direct reports.
Support staff management experience gained within Investment Banking or Professional Services.
Good strategic thinking and the ability to deliver and implement change
Charismatic, engaging, high level of emotional intelligence.
You will be responsible for managing a large population and implementing change - the ability to understand the culture/stakeholders/challenges and identify how best to make improvements is key.
