Role Overview:
This meaty EA role will support him across all aspects of his professional and personal life, managing his hectic diary and ensuring that changing priorities are handled smoothly. Sitting at the centre of a creative, friendly but demanding media production company this role will help our staff and external contacts get the right access the MD. They will also be a lynch pin in communicating important information across the company.
Some of the areas that will be within the remit include:
- Setting the tone for how the office and company are viewed and operate
- Extensive Diary and Meeting Management – this operates on a global level and commitments are constantly shifting
- Being across all correspondence and communication with external contacts and broadcasters
- Understanding and tracking of development and production priorities across the company
- Planning the Principal’s production commitments including casting, writer and senior crew liaison, location attendance and edit schedule
- On a constant basis updating and liaising with the client’s household to ensure that personal or family requirements are organised and fit with the work diary – liaising with the family PA and working cohesively together when approaching joint tasks
- Extensive Worldwide travel arrangements and itineraries – including booking regular West coast US Business Trips and researching and booking first-class family trips (please note the EA may need to work outside office hours when supporting overseas trips)
- Liaising closely with the Group Managing Directors to organise travel and meeting commitments where they involve the MD
- Organising and attending complex hospitality events – both industry and personal
- Managing expenditure for the office – including credit card, car and gift purchasing
- Responsible for co-ordinating regular outside pursuits – football, shooting etc
- Ensuring that the Company Driver has an updated schedule
Additional Responsibilities:
The current EA also provides diary management and support to the Executive Producer of a well -known TV panel show.
About you:
My client is looking for an individual with extensive experience working as a EA to a high profile individual. Ideally you will already have a good understanding of how the Television business works and have worked in a media environment.
It will be important for you to have demonstrable experience of developing and exercising influential relationships – whether these be with business clients, other staff members or top class restaurants. You will have extensive knowledge of London social and theatre venues. Similarly your contacts and research skills will mean that you can confidently plan multiple complex travel itineraries across the world.
It will be key that you have real interest in TV/media with the personality to engage with creatives. You will be intellectually curious with good communication skills.
Most importantly the Principal is looking for someone who has a calm mature approach who can think ahead and juggle multiple balls. Naturally confidential you’ll pride yourself on remaining positive in the face of difficult and constantly changing situations and always be willing to go the extra mile. This role will suit someone who is hard working and can weather the ups and downs with a resilient attitude.
