A brand new vacancy has arisen within a prestigious West-End law firm who are seeking a Legalisation Officer to manage and coordinate their busy messenger team whilst also providing seamless administrative support to the firm and being the point of contact/office representative for embassies and other government bureaus to ensure all legal documentation is correct and that all deadlines are continually met.

This Legalisation Officer role requires an energetic candidate who is deadline driven, results focused and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time. Core responsibilities will include; coordinating the messengers' workloads and journeys across London ensuring that all legal documentation is received, delivered and returned within the given timeframes (which can require a very rapid turnover); checking the correct legal documentation is issued, approved and returned with the requested information therefore a good geographical knowledge of London would be beneficial alongside your pragmatic approach and excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

It is essential that you are deadline driven, resourceful, quick-thinking, with strong problem solving skills whilst being adaptable and flexible to the ever-changing schedules and demonstrating great attention to detail whilst remaining calm and composed under pressure. Candidates must have experience of working in a similar role or in a logistics role where they have had experience in managing and coordinating a small team. Ideally you will have had exposure to the legal sector or a similar fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Profile

  • Fluent in English to mother tongue standard, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience as a logistics coordinator, logistics administrator, project coordinator, legalisation officer or similar roles requiring multiple project management coupled with logistics and coordination experience
  • Exposure to the legal sector a similar fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Deadline driven, forward thinking, resourceful, proactive approach, and demonstrable problem solving skills
  • Strong academics from a UK university is desirable
  • Excellent team-player mentality
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong IT skills, Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint
